High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound

What is HIFU?

HIFU Stands for High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound.  It is a procedure that uses Ultrasound waves to tighten and lift the skin effectively by targeting and contracting the SMAS layer of the skin. The SMAS layer is located deep within the skin, just below the dermis, the tissue surrounding the muscle.  The treatment also generates a thermal effect under the skin. Thermal energy generated by the ultrasound waves jumpstarts a regenerative process that strengthens existing collagen and stimulates cells in our skin to produce new collagen.

This technique is clinically effective for skin tightening and lifting.

How It Works

The Ultra skin System delivers HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) energy to the skin. The thermal energy from the ultrasound stimulates collagen remodelling.

First a cooling lubricant is applied to the skin, keeping your outer skin cool. Then the Ultra skin device is moved over the desired areas.

Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear flushed or a little red, but long term you will experience extraordinary skin tightening results.

Body Tightening & Fat Reduction

On the Body, our Ultra skin HIFU technology delivers focussed ultrasound energy which heats up subcutaneous tissues at 3 different depths, up to 13mm within the skin.  At this depth, the thermal energy liquifies and melts fat cells, which are then shifted through the lymphatic system. The treatment also provides advanced skin tightening, which is ideal for treating loose skin.
