They are essential nutrients we get from food. Having a vitamin deficiency may increase the risk of certain health issues. Vitamins are either water soluble or fat soluble. A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble meaning that the body can store these vitamins in fatty tissue and the liver as a reserve supply for many days and even months. Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble vitamins responsible for intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate.

Two major forms of vitamin D exist: D2 (ergocalciferol), found in plants, is produced by sunlight, and can be consumed as a supplement or in fortified foods. D3 (cholecalciferol), on the other hand, is synthesised in the human skin and is often referred to as the sunshine vitamin.

Sun block is an important skin protector but conversely reduces the skin’s ability by 92% to produce vitamin D. Vitamin D is known to improve the immune system and may play a part in dampening down the inflammatory response in certain illnesses.

Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water, which means these vitamins and nutrients dissolve quickly in the body and the body cannot store them. Unlike fat-soluble vitamins excess amounts of water-soluble vitamins simply pass through the body excreted in the urine. Because these vitamins are needed by our bodies, we need to make sure we intake these vitamins on a regular basis. They include vitamin C and vitamin B complex: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), Vitamin B6, biotin (B7), folic acid (B9), Vitamin B12.

What happens during the treatment?

This treatment requires a consultation and patch test before commencing any treatments, this ensures you are suitable for the treatment, and a patch test will be carried out on a small area of skin, this allows you to experience what the treatment will feel like and what to expect.

Following your consultation and patch test there must be a minimum of 48 hours before your first treatment, certain clients may require a longer period before their first treatment this will be discussed with you at this time if relevant.

For the first treatment we ask that you come with no products on your face, a cleanse of your face is carried out and once dried.

Developed with beneficial, moisture-surging properties – skin booster treatments have been designed to deliver saturating hydration to the deeper dermis.

They are a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with smooth and low cohesion gel for bio revitalisation and moisturising. This skin booster has a low viscosity and elasticity and is suitable for improving fine wrinkles and overall moisturising and elasticity of the face.

A Skin Booster Procedure Carried Out?

You will undergo a consultation process to ensure you are suitable for the treatment, explain how it works, and the outcome to be expected from the procedure. Once you are ready to start treatment, you will sign a consent form which explains procedural considerations.  If you wish, a numbing agent can be applied to the skin. In most these will disappear an hour or 2 after treatment, in some they will take 24 hours to settle completely. You may suffer from bruising after your treatment. This is usually minimal and will appear as very small dots in a few of the injection sites. These should be easily covered with concealer the day after treatment. To minimise bruising, there are several steps you can take.

Once the product dissolves the unwanted fat, the effect is normally permanent. However, you must try to maintain a stable weight as if you gain weight following the procedure, it is possible that results might be compromised.

Fat dissolving injections are best suited for healthy adults with a healthy BMI who have good skin elasticity.

A lip flip is a procedure that uses neuromodulators, anti-wrinkle to relax a muscle in the upper lip, causing the lip to “flip” and giving the appearance of a fuller upper lip. The procedure is different than getting lip fillers, which are injections directly into the lip, as opposed to above it.

The lip flip is temporary, lasting about 3-4 months. If you are experimenting with lip enhancement, the lip flip allows you a low-stakes treatment, as the results will wear off in 3-4 months.

If you’re looking for a subtle improvement to your smile, a lip flip may be ideal. It provides less intense or noticeable results than lip fillers. But it can still improve the appearance of your mouth, especially when you smile.

Does a lip flip give you duck lips?

Despite the common fear of ending up with a duck-billed appearance following a lip-enhancement procedure, lip flips won’t give you the infamous duck-billed finish. As a matter of fact, many people looking for a subtle effect and natural-looking lip fullness choose lip flips over other lip-enhancement techniques.

How is a lip flip performed?

A lip flip is performed by injecting Anti-wrinkle product into your lip muscle, allowing it to relax, letting your top lip gently lift and “flip” upward in about a week. This creates the appearance of a more full, pillowy lip without adding volume with lip fillers.

A V.I.P facial combines a perception of a bespoke cocktail procedure with topical serums and anti-wrinkle toxins to deliver customized skin solutions deep into the epidermis but not to the underlying muscle, allowing to tighten the skin but not freeze the face.

What does it involve?

A full consultation with an in-depth valuation to your skin needs.

The treatment starts with a dermaplaning to exfoliate the skin to help get the most out of absorption of the be spoke cocktail that your skin needs. The devise is loaded with the bespoke products for your skin and needs.

Then a facial massage to complete the absorption of the products into the skin and relaxes your muscle to bring the blood rushing to the surface and give you a dewy and relaxed look

When should I have this?

If you have a special event coming up. It is recommended that you book in at least 4 weeks prior to the event for the consultation.

This is where we will look at your skin and make a formular to bring out the best in your skin for your event. Planning the running up with skin care to your skin. Planning is the key.

Cheek fillers, also known as cheek augmentation treatment, provide volume to and around your cheekbones. Dermal fillers are used to create that instant ‘plumping’ effect, restoring, and boosting the volume of the cheeks and give definition to the natural cheekbone structure, recreating the youthful contours of the face.

HydraFacial are a great way to ensure your skin is as healthy as it should be and will leave you feeling great about your appearance.

The main benefits are firmer skin, reduction of fine lines, and stronger more youthful skin.

Using facial treatments from HydraFacial MD®, we employ a multi-step process in which we carefully manage your skin and monitor how it reacts to each stage of treatment. In this way, our HydraFacial treatments are unique to each person and can address your specific skin concerns, including oily skin, pigmentation conditions, and acne.

One of the main benefits is how quickly results show, with the first visual effects seen almost instantly. As well as this, the treatment is non-invasive and doesn’t involve any downtime or pain.

How It Works

HydraFacial repair and enhance your skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin proteins.

There are 5 main elements to the treatment as follows:

  1. Detoxification – lymphatic draining is encouraged (aiding circulation and reducing toxins in the tissues)
  2. Cleansing/Exfoliating the skin– this removes dead skin cells and cleans pores, cleansing and refreshing the skin.
  3. Brightening & Extraction– a solution containing glycolic and salicylic acid is applied giving brighter skin and to removing blackheads and loosening any debris from your pores.
  4. Hydration– hyaluronic acid is used alongside peptides to plump up the skin.
  5. Rejuvenation – the final step involves using LED light, stimulating collagen production, and leaving your skin with a youthful glow.

It’s a non-invasive treatment, which has the combined benefits of hydra dermabrasion, chemical peels, and a delivery of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and peptides.

Using this six-step process, treatments are quick, effective and have no downtime or lasting side effects.

Laser treatments are the fastest way to remove hyperpigmentation, but it still takes time to see results. Pigment will darken for 1-3 weeks following the treatment, then will begin to fade. Immediately following a laser session, you may experience redness, tenderness, and mild swelling.

Can laser get rid of hyperpigmentation?

Having discolored patches of skin can cause a great deal of distress and may affect your self-image. Technological developments in the aesthetics industry have led to new laser skin resurfacing treatments which can treat and even eliminate hyperpigmentation.

How many sessions does laser pigmentation remove?

For optimal results, most patients will require 3-4 sessions (approximately 1 session per month) and will notice significant improvement after each treatment. In some circumstances, more than 4 sessions may be needed. The results from laser treatment are permanent.

What are the side effects of laser pigmentation removal?

There will be an initial period of redness, swelling and darkening of the pigmented lesion, but for most patients it does not interfere with their comfort resuming daily activities. Post-treatment changes can be camouflaged with makeup if desired.

What not to do after laser pigmentation removal?

Avoid strenuous exercise or anything that may cause excessive perspiration including saunas, spas, and steam rooms within the first 1-2 days.

Avoid picking or pulling any loose or exfoliating skin.

What will my face look like after laser treatment?

You can expect that the treated area will peel. After that, the new, rejuvenated skin will be pink, but it will gradually lighten over two to three months. It may take up to a year for the pinkness to go away. It is very important to protect your skin during this time of healing.

Radio frequency skin firming treatments use clinically proven devices that deliver short pulses of energy to rejuvenate existing dermal tissue, and at the same time stimulates new collagen and elastin production in the body, which helps to tighten and improve the texture and appearance of the skin’s surface and supporting structure.

Does radio frequency tighten skin?

Yes, it does! This skin-safe energy works like magic to boost the natural production of skin firming elastin and collagen fibres, as well it causes subdermal tissues to tighten and contract, making the skin stronger and smoother again. Radio frequency skin treatments also offer the bonus of having no downtime; it really is one of the easiest treatments to experience.

How Does Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Work?

During a RF energy treatment, short pulses of energy flow from a RF device into the skin, gently and safely heating the subdermal tissues, triggering the production of collagen and elastin, as well as an increase in the body’s natural hyaluronic acid production (hyaluronic acid is excellent at skin plumping!).

Can radio frequency tighten skin?

Indeed, it can! As a result of the skin-safe radio frequency energy, your body responds by making strong new fibrous tissue to support and firm the skin, and collagen fibres become shorter and more tense, therefore making your skin tighter in the treatment area!

Radio frequency skin firming is an effective anti-ageing cosmetic treatment that women and men use to tighten their skin, therefore improving body contours and achieving a more youthful appearance. With age, our skin loses elasticity, which can lead to:

  • Sagging cheeks and jowls
  • Eye and eyebrow droop
  • Double chin
  • Turkey neck
  • Saggy cleavage
  • Puckered elbows and knees
  • Loose tummy skin
  • Bum sagging
  • Deep wrinkles and skin folds

A non-surgical, non-invasive solution to these common face and body concerns is radio frequency technology, which can address a multitude of skincare conditions related to ageing, as well as cellulite, skin laxity, and sun damage.

Radio frequency skin tightening ‘pros’ include:

  • Better skin tone and texture
  • Increased collagen production
  • Less saggy skin
  • Loose skin is tighter.
  • Instant face lifting
  • Cellulite reduction
  • Smoother skin
  • Better skin elasticity
  • Improved body contouring
  • Natural hyaluronic acid production
  • Fat reduction

Compared to the cost of a facelift or surgical removal of excess skin to achieve tighter skin, radio frequency skin tightening treatments are more affordable, and as mentioned, doesn’t involve any downtime or recovery time.

How long to see results from radio frequency skin tightening?

Because it takes time for your skin to produce new elastin and collagen fibres, it can take about 2-6 months to see results, and much will depend on the treatment area and your goals. On average, you should see changes to your skin tone and texture within two to six months.

During a laser tattoo removal procedure, the practitioner guides a laser over the area of the tattoo. Unlike a laser pointer that produces a continuous beam of light, tattoo removal lasers produce pulses of light energy.

Each pulse of energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink.

Then, over the weeks following treatment, the body’s immune system flushes the tattoo ink particles away from the location, lightening the appearance of the tattoo. Each laser treatment breaks down more and more of the tattoo ink until none remains.

We use a Q-switching is a special type of laser, which is intensely powerful, brief pulses of energy – typically lasting just a few nanoseconds.  This fast, intense pulse of energy is a big part of answering the question of how laser tattoo removal works.

Tattoos come in every colour imaginable. And, just like all other objects around us, different colours of tattoos absorb and reflect different wavelengths of light at different rates. For example, a red tattoo looks red because it absorbs green light and reflects the red light (which is what we see).

We treat a multi-coloured tattoo. We use a variety of weigh lengths for treatment versatility.

The wave lengths we use for our laser tattoo removal are 1064 nm through to 532nm.

Additional wavelengths we use are 755 nm and 694 nm – these wavelengths function very similarly and are useful for treating rare ink colours, such as bright blue or green.

Tattoo removal is not an instant fix – it’s usually a several-month commitment for most clients.

Most tattoos require between 5-10 session to achieve complete removal. The sessions are spaced apart at least 6 weeks.

Clients often ask why tattoo removal requires so many treatments and why they must wait between sessions.

Laser tattoo removal requires multiple treatments because not all the tattoo ink can be shattered in one treatment session. When a tattoo is applied, the ink is injected at different depths within the dermis. As the laser light is applied to the skin, the shallowest layers of ink in the dermis absorb the energy and shatter, but the deeper layers may not have been affected. Only once the body flushes away the top layers of ink can the deeper layers being treated.

The process of flushing away the ink involves immune system phagocytic cells gradually moving the ink particles to the lymph nodes, where the pigments remain. Because the body can only flush away the ink at a certain speed, it’s beneficial to wait as long as possible between treatments to see maximum fading from each session. Also, the waiting period allows any scabs or blisters to heal, minimizing the possibility of over-treating the area and causing unwanted side effects.

By filling in the hollow temples. As you age, your temple areas lose fat, leading to a “hollow” look in the absence of natural volume. Dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid can help fill in these hollows and restore volume to the temples and brow area. Giving a youthful appearance.

What are a PDO Mono Threads and screws?

PDO Mono Threads are smooth, singular threads which are inserted into the skin in a mesh-like pattern to provide a sort of scaffolding for the skin. As they gradually dissolve, they promote the production of collagen, a protein vital to skin elasticity and firmness, over time.

The procedure with Mono Threads does not involve a dramatic lift but rather a gradual skin tightening effect and cellular renewal, thanks to collagen stimulation.

Mono Threads are perfect for fine lines, surface wrinkles, and subtle skin laxity. The results with Mono Threads are subtle and develop gradually over a 3-month period.

Mono threads can be used to treat a variety of cosmetic concerns, including:
* Fine lines and wrinkles: Mono threads can help to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes, mouth, and forehead.
* Sagging skin: Mono threads can help to lift and tighten sagging skin, particularly in the cheeks, jowls, and neck.  They can also be placed on the body to tighten sagging and crepey skin, for instance on the stomach, arms or legs.
* Uneven skin texture: Mono threads can help to improve skin texture, particularly in areas where the skin is rough or uneven.
* Scars: Mono threads can help to reduce the appearance of scars, particularly acne scars.

PDO Screw Threads

Unlike Mono Threads, PDO Screw Threads have a spiral structure that allows for a more visible, immediate skin lift. As with the Mono Threads, Screw Threads also stimulate collagen production, offering a twofold benefit of immediate skin tightening and long-term skin rejuvenation. PDO Screw Threads are typically used in areas where a little more volume or lift is needed, such as the nasolabial folds, lips, or even the cheeks.

Cog Threads

Before we continue I want to briefly touch on Cog threads (or the Thread lift) which is an entirely separate procedure to mono threads. (There is more information on Cog threads here.) Cog threads, which are used when performing a non-surgical thread lift procedure are different in effect to mono threads. Although made of a similar material, they are far thicker and have tiny barbs or cogs that line the thread. These cogs provide a type of grip that hooks to the underside of the skin, providing a lifting and tightening effect, similar to a facelift.

Cog threads are particularly effective in areas where significant lifting is desired, such as the cheeks, jawline, jowls and neck.

Where on the body can mono and screw threads be used?

PDO threads are quite versatile and can be used on various areas of the body. They’re primarily used for the face and neck, but practitioners have been exploring their use in other areas as well. Here are some common areas where PDO threads can be used:

  1. Face: This is the most common area for PDO threads. They can be used to lift sagging skin, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture in areas such as the forehead, eyebrows, cheeks, jowls, jawline, nasolabial folds, tear trough and around the mouth and eyes.
  2. Lips: The threads help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and provide a subtle lift to the lips, making them look fuller, volumized and more well defined.
  3. Neck: PDO threads can help tighten loose skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the neck.
  4. Jawline: They can be used to provide a more defined jawline and reduce the appearance of jowls.
  5. Nose: PDO threads can be used for a non-surgical nose lift or to improve the nose’s shape.
  6. Chest/Decolletage: PDO threads can help improve skin texture and reduce wrinkles on the chest.
  7. Abdomen: They can be used to tighten loose skin, such as post-pregnancy or significant weight loss.
  8. Arms and Legs: PDO threads can also help tighten loose skin on the upper arms (often referred to as ‘bingo wings’) and thighs.
  9. Buttocks: Like elsewhere skin can be tightened and lifted when PDO threads are used here.

The effectiveness of PDO threads will vary depending on the person and their skin’s condition. The number of threads used makes a difference.

How many threads are used for each area?

The number of threads used for each area varies based on factors like treatment goals, the area being treated, and individual needs. Your healthcare provider will determine the appropriate number during the consultation, considering your skin condition and desired outcome. How is the procedure performed?

The PDO thread lift procedure is relatively straightforward, but it requires a skilled and experienced practitioner to ensure optimal results. Here’s a brief step-by-step overview:

  1. Preparation: The targeted area is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. A local anesthetic is applied to numb the area and reduce discomfort.
  2. Thread Insertion: A thin needle or cannula containing the PDO thread is inserted into the skin. The practitioner guides the thread to the appropriate position and depth based on your specific treatment plan.
  3. Thread Positioning: Once the thread is in place, the needle is removed, leaving the thread behind. For cog threads, the practitioner may apply tension to lift the skin.
  4. Finishing Up: The procedure is repeated as needed based on the number of threads being used. After all threads are in place, the area is cleaned again.

As for the pain and discomfort, the use of local anesthesia helps to minimize this. You might feel some pressure or mild discomfort during the insertion of the threads, but severe pain is uncommon.

Aftercare advice

At Home Care:

  1. Ice Packs: Applying a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a soft cloth to the treated areas can help to minimize swelling and bruising.
  2. Pain Management: If you experience discomfort, you can typically take over-thecounter pain relievers as your healthcare provider recommends.
  3. Skin Care: Keep the treated area clean and gently apply any prescribed creams or ointments. Continue with your normal skincare routine, but avoid harsh or abrasive products.

Things to Avoid:

  1. Physical Strain: Avoid strenuous physical activity, including heavy lifting and vigorous exercise, for about a week following the procedure.
  2. Facial Movements: Try to limit excessive facial movements and expressions, and avoid massaging or rubbing the treated areas.
  3. Heat and Sun Exposure: Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas, and other forms of heat exposure for about a week after the procedure, as they can increase swelling.
  4. Alcohol and Smoking: Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours post-procedure, as it can increase swelling and bruising. It’s also a good idea to avoid smoking, which can slow down the healing process.
  5. Follow the post-procedure instructions provided by your healthcare provider. These may include guidelines for cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting the treated area.
  6. Apply cold compresses or ice packs to reduce swelling and discomfort, if recommended by your healthcare provider.
  7. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area unnecessarily.
  8. Avoid strenuous activities, excessive facial expressions, and high-impact exercises for a few days following the procedure.
  9. Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure by wearing sunscreen and a hat when outdoors.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat exposure for a certain period as advised by your healthcare provider.
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle to support the healing process.
  • Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and address any concerns or questions.

Treatment Follow-Up:

  1. Post-Treatment Checkup: Your practitioner will usually schedule a follow-up appointment about a week after your procedure to check your progress and address any concerns or complications.
  2. Long-Term Follow-Up: After this, you might have additional follow-ups at 3, 6, and 12 months post-procedure to assess the longevity of the results and discuss any further treatments.

Remember, these are general guidelines, and your practitioner might provide specific instructions tailored to your situation. Always follow your practitioner’s advice, and don’t hesitate to contact them if you have any questions or concerns or if you notice any unusual side effects.

How long before I see the effects?

The effects of PDO Threads become visible at different times, depending on the type of thread used and individual factors such as your skin type, age, and the area being treated.

If you’ve had a treatment using Cog Threads, which provide an immediate lift, you will see some effects right away. However, it’s important to note that there will likely be some swelling and bruising immediately after the procedure, which can temporarily affect the appearance of the results.

For Mono Threads and Screw Threads, which stimulate collagen production, the results develop gradually over time. You may start noticing an improvement in your skin’s texture, firmness, and overall appearance about 6-8 weeks after your procedure. This is about the time it takes for your body to start producing new collagen in response to the threads.

For all types of PDO Threads, the full effects are typically seen 3-6 months after the procedure, as the threads are absorbed by your body and new collagen is produced. The results can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on individual factors.

As with any cosmetic procedure, individual experiences and results can vary, so it’s important to have realistic expectations and discuss your specific goals with your practitioner before undergoing treatment.

How long does this treatment last?

The longevity of PDO Thread treatments can vary depending on several factors such as the type of threads used, the area treated, and individual patient characteristics.

Generally, the threads themselves dissolve naturally in the body over a period of 6-8 months. However, during this time, they stimulate the production of collagen, which continues even after the threads have dissolved.

The beneficial effects of PDO Threads, including skin tightening and rejuvenation, can typically last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. The results can last longer with a good skincare regimen, a healthy lifestyle, and avoiding factors that contribute to premature skin aging, such as sun exposure and smoking.

It’s worth noting that, as a non-surgical treatment, the results of a PDO Thread lift are not permanent. Over time, the natural aging process will continue, and skin laxity may return. For sustained results, many patients choose to have additional treatments after the effects of the first treatment have worn off.

How often will I need treatments?

The frequency of PDO thread treatments can depend on several factors, such as the type of threads used, the specific area treated, and your individual body’s response to the treatment.

Generally speaking, the effects of a PDO Thread treatment can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Once the threads have been absorbed by the body and the collagen-stimulating effects have peaked, you may see the skin returning to its pre-treatment state gradually.

Therefore, if you wish to maintain the results of your PDO thread lift, you might consider having additional treatments every 1-2 years. However, this can vary depending on your personal goals, the initial results, and the advice of your healthcare provider.

Please note that it’s essential to consult with a qualified healthcare professional for personalized advice. They can assess your skin’s condition, discuss your aesthetic goals, and design a treatment plan that best suits your needs.

The Consultation:

Skincare prep before the consult

Before your PDO thread lifts consultation, it can be beneficial to prepare your skin to be in the best possible condition. This is not a requirement, but a healthy skin environment might improve your outcomes and may even enhance healing after the procedure. Here are some skincare preparation steps you can consider:

Healthy Routine: Maintain a regular skin care regimen that includes cleansing,
toning, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen. This will help keep your skin clean,
hydrated, and protected from sun damage.

  1. Nutrition: Nutrition plays a vital role in skin health. Ensure your diet is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats can help improve your skin’s overall health and ability to heal.
  2. Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside. Dehydrated skin can delay the healing process and might not respond optimally to treatments.
  3. Avoid Harsh Products: Avoid using harsh skincare products or treatments in the weeks leading up to your consultation. This includes chemical peels, abrasive scrubs, or retinoid products, which could potentially irritate or sensitize your skin.
  4. Avoid Sun Damage: Minimise your sun exposure and always wear broad-spectrum sunscreen. Sun damage can make your skin more sensitive and might affect the healing process after the procedure.

During the consultation, an evaluation of your skin’s condition, discuss your aesthetic goals, and determine if PDO threads are the right treatment for you. They may also provide additional advice on how to prepare your skin before the procedure.
Please remember that while these are general tips, it’s essential to follow the specific advice.

What happens in the consultation?

The consultation for a PDO thread lift is a critical first step. This is where you discuss your aesthetic goals, and the practitioner assesses your suitability for the procedure. Here’s generally what you can expect during a PDO thread lift consultation:

Medical History Review: Your medical history,
including any current or past health conditions, allergies, previous surgeries or
treatments, and medications or supplements you are taking. This helps them
understand any factors that might affect the treatment or recovery process.

What are the side effects?

Whilst PDO threads inserted is considered a relatively safe procedure, like all treatments, they can have potential side effects. Here are some you might experience:

Swelling and Bruising: Some swelling and bruising are common in the treated
area following the procedure. These effects typically diminish within a few days to
a week.

  1. Pain and Discomfort: You may experience some pain, discomfort, or tenderness at the treatment site, particularly in the first few days following the procedure. Over-the-counter pain relievers can often help manage this discomfort but be sure to consult with your practitioner before taking any medication.
  2. Skin Irregularities: Some patients might notice temporary dimpling, puckering, or pulling of the skin. These side effects usually resolve within a few weeks.
  3. Infection: Although rare, there is a risk of infection any time the skin is broken. It’s important to follow all post-procedure care instructions and to contact your practitioner if you notice any signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, pain, or pus.
  4. Thread Misplacement: In some cases, threads might not be positioned correctly, leading to asymmetry, visible threads under the skin, or a less-than-optimal lifting effect. An experienced practitioner is less likely to encounter these issues, and if they do occur, they can often be addressed by adjusting or replacing the threads.
  5. Nerve Damage: This is a rare but serious side effect. If the needle accidentally injures a nerve during the procedure, it could cause temporary or even permanent damage. This could lead to weakness, numbness, or changes in sensation.

Remember that everyone’s experience can be different, and the severity and duration of side effects can vary based on individual factors and the specifics of the procedure.
