Smokers Lines
Treatment Information
Smoker’s lines /Vertical mouth lines
Smoker’s lines are fine lines and wrinkles that go from the edges of the lips outwards either towards the nose or the chin (or both). They are very common in men and women and can be a source of self-consciousness. Whilst they are also called smoker’s lines, they can affect non-smokers also. Since the lips are a highly expressive part of the face lines and wrinkles naturally develop over time as we get older. Vertical lip lines are made worse by the thinning of the skin (due to lost collagen and elastin) which occurs when we age. This not only highlights these lines but also reduces the structure and definition of the lip area. Other causes of vertical lip lines include sun damage and genetic factors. In women, these lines can seem more prominent as they cause lipstick feathering or bleeding. The best lip lines treatments reflect the diversity and complexity of vertical lip lines.
These can be treated with anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler. Possibly a combination of both. We have a variety of other treatments that can help. From skin boosters, chemical peels, micro abrasions facials even carbon facials
